Edition number 16 of 1963 originally planned for production (only 1951 were actually produced worldwide according to recent production records. Only 200 came to the UK). Classic 40th Anniversary (Jahre) Porsche 911 Coupe 6 speed maual with short shifter finished in, exclusive to this model, GT Silver, which later became famous on the Carrera GT supercar. It also came with the Turbo front bumper and GT3 side skirts to give it a more aggressive stance. It rides on 18 inch Carrera Classic wheels.
There is dark grey perforated leather interior with a ‘luxury meets sports vibe’ that covers the sports seats, dashboard binnacle, steering wheel, gear lever surround and door cards, with polished aluminium accents and the 40th Edition badge mounted at the base of the centre console.
There is an electric tilt/slide steel sunroof, original Bose stereo system with multi play CD player. The backs of the seats re hard shells painted in the body colour, GT Silver, as is the transmission tunnel.
Under the rear deck there is a potent 3.6 (flat 6 cylinder) that has been subject to a power upgrade to 345 hp (X 51 powerkit package with revised cylinder heads, uprated camshafts, bigger air intake, improved oil feed and re-mapped ECU giving 0-60 in just over 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 180mph) and complimenting factory sports suspension (10mm lower) which were completed at the Weissach GT division. It has an after market switchable sports exhaust that brings alive the potency of this exquisite and exclusive Porsche.
